TERMS

BASICS

• Renter = Kosmopol AB. Also defined by "us", or "we" in the following terms of agreement.

• Rentee = you as the person or company renting the equipment.

• A rental day starts at 00.00 and ends at 24.00.

• The equipment is to be used only during the rental day.

• The equipment will be returned by 08.00 the day after rental, or at another time agreed on with Kosmopol.

• You will be charged for delayed returns.

• You are responsible for pickup and drop off of the equipment to and from the Kosmopol office, or, to and from other location(s) where equipment is located. Pickup and drop off location(s) and times will be agreed on at the time of signing the rental contract.

• We reserve the right to communicate with other renters about our experience with you as a rentee.

• If you are renting a bundle: You are responsible for letting us know exactly what you would like from the bundles. If we don't get this information we will prepare the most common items for you and will not be responsible for not including something that you expected to be included. • If you want the equipment dropped off or picked up at a specific location, you will be charged for this service.

• If you loose equipment, or cause damage to it, we will charge you for any extra costs for repair, evaluation, maintenance and transportation needed to reinstate the equipment to its previous condition. You are also responsible to pay us for lost rental days, at standard rental prices, as well as other additional costs for Kosmopol, or subsequent rentees, until the equipment is complete and/or back in its previous condition.

• You are not allowed to perform any repairs, maintenance, or upgrades of the equipment without the consent of Kosmopol. This also means that you are not allowed to clean the camera sensor.

• You are responsible for the rented equipment to be transported, kept and used so that it is not damaged, lost or stolen. In the event that this happens, you will be charged for the cost of returning the equipment to its previous, complete and working state.

• You have to cancel or reschedule a reservation at least a week before the rental. If you don't, you will be charged 100% of the agreed rental price.

PRICES

• A week constitutes 4 rental days. In other words: if you pay for 4 consecutive days, you will be able to use the equipment for 7 consecutive days. However, the number of days used must be announced before the rental takes place. This rule does not apply to campaign prices.

• Rebate System.
This does not apply to campaign prices.

1-4 rental days: 0%
5 rental days: 20%
6 rental days: 25%
7-13 rental days: 30%
14-29 rental days: 40%
30+ rental days: 50%

• If the rental days are separated in time, they all have to be booked in advance. The dates can later be moved, but not cancelled, in order for the rebates to remain in effect.

• Minimum charge for rental is 350 KR + VAT, if applicable.

• Test shooting with the equipment is allowed to a maximum of 4 hours - from pickup to dropoff at the Kosmopol office, or other location agreed on beforehand. If you have booked the definitive shoot, the price is 50% of a normal rental day. If the definitive shoot is NOT booked, you the price is 100% of a normal rental day.

• Delivery/Pickup
Price: 350 KR. This price is valid under the following conditions:
- The distance between the Kosmopol office and the point of dropoff or pickup is within 10km
- Delivery and pickup has to take place on a non holiday weekday between 09.00 and 17.00
- There are no delays at point of dropoff or pickup.
For each 10km delivery after the initial 10km: +100kr
Additional pricing for delivery or pickup taking place on other times than weekdays between 09.00 and 17.00:
- 07-09: +200 KR
- 17-19: +200 KR
- 19-07: +500 KR
- Holiday and Weekend surcharge: +200 KR
For each 15 minute delay at dropoff or pickup: +100kr

• RED MX Package + AC (b-foto) Bundle
This is a campaign price for a limited period where the following conditions apply:
- The dayrate of an AC (b-foto)/Operator is included in the bundle.
- The dayrate during this campaign is 4000kr/day + moms
- Hourly scales:
1-8 hours: dayrate.
9-10 hours: +1/7 of dayrate per hour
11-12 hours: +1/5 of dayrate per hour
13-x hours: +1/3 of dayrate per hour
- The day starts when loading equipment at Kosmopol begins.
- The day ends when returning equipment to Kosmopol is completed.

REQUIREMENTS

• We require that you use a DP, AC or 2nd AC (fotograf, b- eller c-foto), or RED tech, that Kosmopol has approved for work with the rented equipment.

• This person will be responsible for the equipment from pickup to return of the equipment.

• In order to be approved, we require that this person has sufficient experience using the rented equipment.

• If you have no access to an approved RED tech, Kosmopol offers the services of a skilled RED Tech to handle the camera for you. The cost for this lies outside the equipment rental costs. We can also refer you skilled DPs, ACs, 2nd ACs and DITs. Please contact us for more info.

• The person responsible for the equipment will have to personally let us scan their ID Card at least a week before rental.

• If there is a different person and or company responsible for financing the rental, this person will also have to personally let us scan their ID Card and provide proof of company registration, at least a week before rental.

• You are responsible for the equipment to be handled responsibly. This is our baby and we want you to be careful.

• As you are picking up the equipment you will sign a rental contract and receive complete checklist of what you are renting. Known defects will be noted in this list.

• As you are picking up the equipment, you are responsible for letting us know if there is some defect that we haven't covered in the checklist.

• You are responsible to immediately let us know if there is any damage, loss, theft or unusual behavior of the equipment during the rental, and in case of theft or loss, notify the police.

• You have to get the permission by Kosmopol if the rented equipment is being transported outside the Swedish borders.

INSURANCE/WARRANTY

GENERAL
• The Kosmopol camera insurance is only valid in the presence of a Kosmopol employee.

• If you rent our equipment by itself, without our presence on location, we require that you provide your own production insurance.

• The Kosmopol camera insurance is only covering the items in the RED MX Camera Package. Contact us for the terms and a complete list of items covered.

• If the equipment is lost or damaged, or, if the damage or loss is not covered by the insurance, you will be charged the new price and/or repair for the lost or damaged item, plus costs for shipping, customs, VAT etc.

• The Kosmopol insurance does NOT cover, nor is Kosmopol responsible for, loss of material, or other expenses due to equipment failure.

• All equipment is NOT covered by the Kosmopol insurance. Contact us for more info!

• Please contact us for more information about the terms of the insurance.

• Backup Camera: in the event that the rented camera fails to function due to unforeseen problems that cannot be resolved within a reasoneable time, we offer a backup camera free of charge. Notes:
- In order to make sure that we can provide a backup camera for you, you have to get a confirmation from us in advance, that we have one available for you on your rental day(s).
- Availability of the backup camera has to be confirmed before the rental takes place.
- The backup camera may or may not be a RED ONE with the MX sensor.
- Delivery is not included in the backup camera offer. However we may be able to deliver it to your location. For delivery costs, see Delivery/Pickup under PRICES further up in these terms.

CAMERA INSURANCE
• Our camera insurance is valid only in our presence.

• Although most of the equipment is covered with a worldwide insurance, you are, as much as we are, responsible of handling it with utmost care.

• In case of an insurance claim, you will be charged the deductable of SEK 20 000.

PAYMENT

• If applicable, 25% VAT (moms) will be added to all prices.

• By signing the rental contract, you are responsible to pay invoices in full and available to Kosmopol by the "pay by" date (förfallodag). If not, Kosmopol reserves the right to charge additional late fees with interest.

• The equipment is not to be rented or lent to a third party without the approval of Kosmopol.

• Kosmopol is not responsible for transportation of the equipment.

MISCELLANEOUS

• These terms are valid for the properties of Kosmopol AB. Some of the equipment on this site will be subject to other rental terms. Please ask us for more information!

• These terms are not subject to the Swedish Consumer Services Law (Svenska Konsumenttjänstlagen).
